How much is parking at Sand Cove?
Parking was like $3 on the parking app. Bring an umbrella for shade as it gets pretty hot!!! Wanted to go to the beach, but Santa Cruz weather isn’t great. Too cold and windy. So we looked for something along Sac river and found Sand Cove. Figured we’d give it a shot. Glad we did. Think we’ve found a new favorite place to go.
Is there a ghost in Sand Cove Park?
Ghost lights have been spotted at Sand Cove Park as well as the voice of a woman saying “te papa” in a place near the Sacramento River. Some surmise that the site once held a mine shaft where someone passed away or was an ancient burial ground.

Start your review of Sand Cove Beach. Perfect beach to visit! Definitely will be coming back soon & bringing the doggy. Spent a few hours with the girls & was super peaceful. Nice place to take the family. Gets pretty crowded during the summer though. Wish they had more parking and a real bathroom.
