How long is a BSA swim test good for?

In either instance, proper documentation shall be completed and retained, and Swimmer Certification Cards should be issued. These cards are good for one year from date of issue. It is recommended that the off-site testing be done at the beginning of the activity season.

However, several of my esteemed fellow scouters insist that the scout can not pass the swimmer test while wearing them. They refer to past experiences at summer camp, during which the testers told the scouts they can not wear goggles or noseplugs.
What do you have to do to pass the BSA swim test?
Swimmers pass this test: Level off and swim 75 yards in a strong manner using one or more of the following strokes: sidestroke, breaststroke, trudgen, or crawl; then swim 25 yards using an easy resting backstroke. The 100 yards must be completed in one swim without stops and must include at least one sharp turn.
