Prorated Charges are partial monthly charges incurred anytime you make changes to the products and services on your AT account. For simplicity’s sake, we recommend that any plan changes or new services start at the beginning of your next bill cycle.
How is AT proration calculated?
Calculate the partial-month charges for your old and new plans. Multiply the daily charge by the number of days each plan was active during the bill period when you made the change. Your old plan, at $1.50 a day, was active for 10 days, which is $15. Your new plan, at $2.00 a day, was active for 20 days, which is $40.
Does ATT prorate if you cancel?
We bill in advance for DIRECTV, U-verse® TV, AT Phone, AT Internet, and Fixed Wireless Internet accounts per our service agreements. Currently, if you cancel any of these services, we give you prorated credits for the remaining days in your bill period.

Bill credits will be applied to your account based on the specific terms of the offer. Monthly installment charge bill credit: For certain device offers, bill credits will be applied to your bill in equal amounts towards the device installment charge over the entire agreement term, typically 30 or 36 months.
Does AT bill a month in advance?
Your service is billed in advance each month. Your first bill includes a charge for the next month of service. Your first bill may include charges for installation, equipment, or other non-recurring costs.
Do I get a prorated credit refund if I cancel in the middle of my bill cycle?
No. When you are charged, your account is paid for through your billing term.
Is ATT prepaid prorated?

How do I prorate something?
You multiply this amount by the number of days the tenant will occupy the unit. For instance, say a tenant is moving in on the 25th of September and the full rent is $1,200. Calculating by the number of days in a month would look like this: 1200/30 x 5=200. Therefore, $200 would be the prorated rent.
