Can you still mod a Wii U?
Homebrew allows your Wii U to run apps Nintendo didn’t intend for you to run. This includes emulators, custom games, and mods. You don’t run any risk of damaging or bricking your console with normal homebrew, so it’s entirely safe.

Another catch is the way 4K content is handled: the mClassic only upscales 720p and 1080p input signals at low refreshes to 4K – such as 24, 25 and 30Hz. These are frame-rates usually reserved for movie playback, and not games, which depend on 60Hz.
Does mClassic work on 1080P?
If you have your Switch output set to 1080P and use this device it will be trying to smooth 1080P footage and it will upscale to 1440P. This will not look any different unless you are playing on a 4K TV. mClassic works best with lower resolution inputs like 480p and 720p.
