How long can you leave water in Berkey?
We do recommend replacing your Berkey water after three days. If the water is in a cold environment, the length can be extended to a week. This is a conservative estimate for caution. The reason for this is because when you filter your water, the chemicals that inhibit bacteria growth are removed.
